Women of Colour Executive Leadership Program 2025 (APS Stream) Information Session

WHEN: Thursday, 17th October 2024, 12pm-1pm AEDT - WHERE: Microsoft Teams

We're thrilled to announce the expansion of our highly successful Women of Colour Executive Leadership Program (WoC ELP) across Australia, with a focus on the Australian Public Service (APS). Building upon the remarkable achievements of our 2023 program in Victoria, the WoC ELP continues to make a significant impact in empowering Women of Colour in their careers and driving diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.

With ongoing support from the Victorian Government, the WoC ELP has rolled out in Victoria in 2024, demonstrating its proven success in fostering a more equitable and inclusive working environment across the public, private and community sectors.

Aligned with the APS CALD Employment Strategy and Action Plan, the WoC ELP plays a vital role in increasing the visibility and representation of Women of Colour in leadership positions within the public service across the country. By embracing diverse talents, backgrounds, and perspectives, the APS can unlock its full potential and create a more inclusive and equitable workplace for all.

Join us for a virtual information session tailored to the APS to learn more about the comprehensive WoC ELP curriculum, hear inspiring testimonials from past participants, and gain valuable insights from industry experts. Don't miss this opportunity to explore the positive impact the WoC ELP can have on your organisation and career.

Register now for the virtual information session by filling out the form below. Once we receive your details, we'll send you an invitation with the MS Teams link.

We look forward to sharing more about this nation leading program and the opportunities it provides for Women of Colour and their allies within the Australian Public Service.

We exist to champion Australia's Women of Colour through programs of education, community support initiatives and advocacy work.

We acknowledge the Wallumattagal clan of the Darug nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land upon which Women of Colour Australia is situated. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women with whom we stand in solidarity. We acknowledge that as settlers on this stolen Aboriginal land, we are beneficiaries of the dispossession, genocide, and ongoing colonial violence against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We believe that it is our collective responsibility and moral imperative to help dismantle the systemic barriers and structural inequities oppressing the original inhabitants of this land. We are also painfully aware that this land was taken forcibly, without a Treaty or reparations made. We have taken a practical step towards honouring sovereignty by paying the rent – and we invite you to do so too. This land is and always will be Aboriginal land. Sovereignty was never ceded.
