Prema Menon (they/them) is a Non Executive Director of Women of Colour Australia. They began their career in Singapore’s media and film industry, working on documentaries, films, reality, food and travel shows. After migrating to Australia in 2017, they transitioned into the not-for-profit sector, specialising in operations and governance. Prema now leads internal systems for a national charity while consulting part-time with grassroots organisations to help them secure funding and plan for long-term impact. Their work is shaped by the limited choices their foremothers faced due to societal expectations of their time. Prema resides on the lands of the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation and strives to create spaces where all people can thrive.
